Blue hour on a Sunday

Over the weekend, met up with a friend to capture the sunset on the west side of the island. Now that Hawaiian winter is approaching, days are shorter so golden hours are earlier.

Sunset is around 6pm, we were at location within the hour.

Trying out mirrorless camera...

Since the announcement of the Sony A7iii (ILCE-7M3) last year, I have been tempted to test this mirrorless technology. Last month, I decided to order it with the Sigma MC11 in order to use my Canon lenses. Updated the firmware of the converter, and tested the AF with all the lenses. All reported good with this Hybrid configuration.

This weekend, I was able to take it out and capture some Sunset shots. Not the ideal setup and subject, since I shoot mostly family and portrait pictures, which I can wait to use it as my primary camera…
