North shore first winter swell

The winter swell started to roll in on the North Shore in Hawaii.

Drove to Pipeline couple weeks ago to witness some of the larger waves hitting the shore.

It was time to gear up and get some good practice shots before December when the bigger swells come in.

Little stars in the sky

End of the week, we drove east side of the island, and decided to relax on the beach to watch the sky. Not the best weather to watch the Milky way, but we had a small window when the sky cleared to showcase the core just above the horizon.

Sunset was about 7pm and around 8pm the Milky way was slowly appearing in the sky. Luckily, the gusty winds helped move the clouds, and the stars were illuminating the dark sky.

On the beach, waiting patiently in the dark away from the city lights… listening to the waves crashing on the shore… a great start to the weekend!

We stayed for about 3 hours…

Hawaii Total Lunar Eclipse

Also called Super Flower Blood Mood.

Last night, stayed up late from 11pm to 2am to witness the Lunar Eclipse. I was ready and watching from my patio, seeing live as the moon changing from full brightness to orange, what a spectacle!
